Why do we organize this course?

Correct hydraulic design, configuration and control strategy is crucial to ensure HVAC systems achieve optimal energy efficiency and minimal running costs. As HVAC systems become increasingly complex – particularly with the drive towards the integration of more sustainable sources of heat and energy – system efficiencies are becoming increasingly sensitive to correct hydraulic and control strategy.

However hydronic system design is often not fully understood in the heating and cooling sector and there is an increasing knowledge gap around how to correctly integrate different solutions to deliver optimally performing installations.
It is no surprise then that real-life performance often does not meet expectations. Hysopt training is intended to help mechanical building-services engineers involved in the design or renovation of large HVAC or district heating systems close this “HVAC Performance Gap”.

Our course is intended to complement existing professional development, and covers detailed fundamentals of hydraulic HVAC system design and optimisation for low energy, low carbon performance.

Advanced Hydronic Course rules

Focus on practice

We’ll will focus on theories of hydraulic system design and optimisation, including problem resolution through a series of practical examples and exercises.

Straight to work

Although this is not specifically a training course about our software, Hysopt HVAC design software will be used to complete some of these exercises; prior experience of Hysopt software is not necessary and access for the course duration will be provided.

Additional training

You’ll need to provide your own laptop with access to a Google Chrome browser.
Wi Fi access will be provided on the day by Hysopt.
