We made it, the final one! The fifth and final thing to know to successful heat pump deployment. To show its support, the UK government is organising a third round of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. So, last but definitely not least, translating the design intent into as-built-performance! 

Getting it right from the get-go 

A much-overlooked aspect of delivering a successful low carbon heat installation is the correct selection of all different hydraulic system components – i.e. pumps, control valves, balancing valves… 

An innovative, high-cost technology, state of the art installation is nice to have, but don’t let it distract you from the rest of the installation. Often a lot of attention is focused on investing in the most efficient heat pump, if the rest of your system’s components (such as valves, pumps, etc.) are oversized or not optimised for the job.
