Using Hysopt’s tools, engineers can now evaluate multiple system configurations side by side and instantly see how changes affect performance. Arne explains that this shift from estimation to simulation “makes every calculation more credible — because we can prove the physics behind our choices.”
This data-driven approach has become especially valuable during design reviews, where visualising results helps align clients and project partners more effectively.
Building internal expertise
Hysopt initially entered Groep Infrabo’s workflow during the detailed engineering phase, but it quickly became clear that the software could bring even more value earlier in the process. The team now aims to integrate it into feasibility and concept studies, allowing engineers to make data-based design decisions from the very start.
Arne is leading this internal rollout, developing guidelines on how and when to use Hysopt across different project types. “We want to understand exactly when to use the software for maximum impact,” he explains, “so that every engineer benefits from simulation without adding unnecessary complexity.”
To support this, Groep Infrabo plans to follow additional Hysopt Simulator training, building on their experience with the Designer and Calculator modules. The result will be a team fully equipped to combine deep technical understanding with simulation-backed precision.
